i waited till 7am to inform Auntie Janet tt i wun bring Sonia to her house le cos she was sick. i had given Sonia e med 2x from e polyclinic but it was not effective. so i decided 2 bring her 2 c doc le. luckily, it was not long queue. e doc was gd and praised Sonia tt she was obedient. he measured her temp and asked whether she got cough and flu. he said Sonia had fever was cos of virus not cos change of milk formula. Sonia is now 8.6 kg. he advised me not 2 bathe her and juz sponge her. he said its normal for babies 2b sick when they are 6 months onwards as they are building their immunity. he oso said if her temp shot to 38 degree Celcius den nid 2 bring her to KKH le. he said we can gif her drink honey water or glucose when she had fever. in additional, he told us not to on the fan so tt she will sweat n recover. he prescribed fever and flu med for Sonia. this fever med seemed to be stronger than e one from e polyclinic as it required fewer mls to give to my baby.
in e evening, Sonia's temp was 36.9 degree Celcius but her body was stil abit hot. my hubby said we went back his house so we can take care of her tog. thus i oso brought back e ling yang water tt my dad bought from e herbs shop. when Sonia was at my hubby's house, we gave her the new med before she slept. her temperture did become lower.
after a few days, Sonia was not completely well though her fever had subsided over e wkends. she got abit of running nose. she oso accidentally fell down from bed at my hubby's house. den her fever came back :( and continued takin her med. one week ltr, i noticed tt she was growin 2 lower teeth on her gums cos it felt sharp and hard. there were oso small white parts. i asked Auntie and she agreed. i was v excited and happi as she was oni 6+ mths old & developin so fast ;p no wonder she lk 2 bite things oredy lol.
