My short Batam trip~!!! - Part 1

on 2 June, my hubby and i went to Batam for 1D1N as he had bought a Groupon coupon. so we asked his parents to take care of Sonia. happily, i went to do manicure and pedicure at Color Zone on e dae b4, aft my work.

1st tm doin artwork on my toes~! nice? lol

on Sat mornin, i woke up v earli :( hubby rushed mi cos he scared we will be late when we rched Harborfront. initially, i was stil glad when he told mi we would tk cab lol. we jz ate some cakes den prep 2 go out. Sonia woke up aft i finished bathin. i was upset on e bus cos tinkin of her haiz.. we were earli at Harborfront so we sat one side 2 rest b4 boardin e ferry. we oso went 2 e Duty-Free shop 4 awhile. hubby asked mi wanna buy beer anot. i said dun wan cos nv thought of drinkin. i saw Xie Jia Fa or his look-alike, of Yes FM93.3 with a few ladies at e gate~! when e ferry arrived, we went 2 sit at e upper deck. thr was nth nice 2 snap outside e window durin e journey.

we rched Batam abt 45 mins ltr. we needed 2 find e tour guide 2 bring us ard Batam. fortunately, we managed 2 c her aft i went 2 e toilet. it was a long queue at e smelly toilet. we took a bus outside e ferry terminal wif 2 malay families. i saw a cute & pretty baby ger :)

firstly, e tour guide brought us to e Polo Ralph Lauren shop. she said e stuffs were authentic from USA. hubby and i juz went window-shoppin thr cos e clothes were ex to us. we oso saw other branded bags and wallets such as LV, Hermes & Gucci thr. aft tt, she drove us to do massage. she said we could not do in e hotel cos thr were no more slots.

prior 2 e massage, we soaked and washed our feet in a basin. den we went our upstairs 2 gt ready. hubby and i were jz bside each other wif e curtain btw us. e female masseurs were friendly. we lied on a mattress on e floor. e whole process was relaxin and abit ticklish. hubby felt lk slpin lol. e masseur asked mi whether i did massage b4 and i answered mine was lyin on a bed not on-e-floor style. she said den mine was spa nt massage. aft we finished our massage, we tk photographs of e place as it had a nice ambience and decor which resembled e one we went in Singapore.

e tour guide came 2 fetch us aft our massage. she took all of us to taste some layer cakes outside a cake shop. Indonesia is famous for layer cakes. there were 4 flavors namely original, chocolate, prune and i forgt e name of e other one. i liked e Prune flavor e most as it tasted e nicest, so we ordered one box.

finali, we could go lunch. i was v hungry cos i oni ate abit in e morning. we went 2 a seafood restaurant 4 lunch. e place was called Golden Prawn 555. hubby & i sat at e same table with 3 malay kids fr out bus. e 1st dish tt arrived was e chilli crabs (shown on e left pic - centre pic, white plate). next dish was e clams soup (shown on e below pic - top left pic). as u can see fr e left pic, we oso ate chiili oysters (orange plate in e middle), fried fish (top pic) & fried prawns (below left pic). fr e rite pic, u can see calamari (centre pic) & green veg too. my hubby & i lk e veg oni as it tasted e best among all lol. we oso ordered one coconut 2 share. but i din snap a photo of it. i stil fd e local coconut more tasty. e malay kids din eat mch but i noticed they lk e fried prawns n fried fish. we ate all these wif white rice of cos.

aft lunch, e tour guide brought us 2 c a Indo traditional show b4 leavin e place. she said we could gif tips if we were satisified wif e show as it was a free performance. it was short wif e purpose of wanting 2 encourage their own young ppl 2 learn e traditional yet dangerous fire-shallowing and glass-eating acts. my hubby did pass e man some rupiahs aft they finished and everyone applauded.

den, we took some time 2 tour an outdoor miniature house exhibition. e tour guide wanted us 2 guess which house belonged 2 a cannibal tribe in Indo. no one guessed correctli but nvm one. she gave my hubby & i a brief description of all e various houses as we could nt understd e malay words engraved on e small board.

nw, we came 2 e adventurous part. my hubby & i gona play e Flying Fox. e weather was hot and e queue was abit long. nt mani ppl fr our bus joined us. we gt ready by wearin e helmet & harness band 1st. we needed 2 climb 2 e top of e starting point. a man was thr 2 connect our harness 2 a rope & we were told 2 hold onto e handles. he counted to '3' and off we went down e rope 2 e landin point at a far end. my heart was beatin fast while i was in mid air! it was excitin as it was my 1st tm playin Flyin Fox!

b4 we went 4 our dinner at a shoppin mall, we went 2 a Batik shop. we missed e temple and e Factory Outlet cos thr was nt mch tm left. we bought nothing at e Batik shop. my hubby bought a pair of leather shoes at e shoppin mall which was called BCF. we saw mani branded bags thr, so my hubby bought mi one lol. we dined at a cafe and my hubby ate Fish & Chips and me fried seafood kway keow. it was delicious :) we oso ordered a strawberry milkshake as shown below.

at last, we could go back to our hotel oredy...

Short post: Is this a good or effective way to shed off some fats?

i have been wearing this tight-fitting so called 'shape-up camisole' for a few days le. when my mom saw it, she asked mi whether it's gd 2 do so cos she worried may affect my chance of gettin pregnant or givin birth nx tm.

i'm oso wearing these so-called 'arm shapers' for tis few days 2 c if they r effective. i wan my arms 2b more toned so i can look better when wearing tank tops or ani sleeveless clothes :)

i had bought em from Watsons when i went out wif my sis. i noe doin exercise is e best way 2 slim down but smtms lazy or no tm haiz...

do any of u use such products b4? can share wif mi? tks alot :)

Be neat! Storage tips for ladies!

Is ur house in a mess? Do u leave ur clothes everywhere on e floor in ur bedroom or living room? Or even in e kitchen? How do u gers tidy ur things or keep ur clothes n accessories? In boxes or containers? Did u make full use of every space? Dun fret and here are some gd ideas:

#1: Big bag, medium bag, small bag.

U like to scatter ur bags of various sizes and materials here and there? Put ur small bag in ur big bag to make it into '1 bag'. This will look neat. If it's autumn or winter season, i suggest u to choose 'basket' type of bags which are outdated as the outermost bag as shown on e rite.

#2 - Accumulate small items. Categorize them carefully.

Makeup products such as mascaras, eyeliners, eyebrows pencils and lipsticks are elongated and cannot stand properly if u keep them in ur drawer. What can u do? Simple. Use a stationery holder! Place e same group together will enable u to look for a certain piece faster, especially if u're in a hurry!

#3 - Masks in transparent zip cases.

Most of us, ladies like to apply mask before a hot date! So we will buy many kinds of masks but we do not know where to store them. Well, go and get a transparent zip case and put all ur masks inside! This fits all masks of different sizes and u can slip it inside any narrow space in ur wardrobe or bathroom.

#4 - Ring, ring, ring.

Do u lose ur rings easily? Cos they are small and light. If u are free and cannot get any conical stands outside, make one urself! It's easy! Take an A4 paper and roll it into a cone. Den use scotch tape or glue to stick e edge.

This is my fav idea as e most important part of this is i will know instantly when there is one ring missing lol. E cones won't take up much spaces too. Doesn't it look cute? I'm sure many of u will love it ;p

Gathering with gd friends and shopping~!

tis week, i met 2 groups of frenz. 1 was my 2 sec sch gfs and e oth was my ex-collic.

on thurs, i went 2 J8 2 mit Jodie & Daphne. we decided to go Cafe Cartel 4 dinner. i was e 1st to rch so i took a seat somewhr 2 do my tuition stuff. b4 goin thr, i was workin at Pasir Ris. i nid 2 go thr once a mth. Daphne arrived nx. omg! she oso had short hair nw lol. wat a coincidence! she said she almost cant c mi lol. Jodie rched quite late so we went in without her. we chatted while we were eatin. Jodie told us more abt our ex-classmates as she had attended e class gatherin recently. i nv went cos i dun feel lk goin.  no motivation lol. Daphne is goin 2 China nx Mon le cos she gona work thr for 2 yrs. so gd! can b alone thr lol. den Jodie drove us hm.

On fri, i went out wif Xinling as i want 2 gif her a bdae treat. i tk mc tt dae cos i was lazy 2 go work lol. so we met at PS earlier than e tm we initially fixed. Xinling said my new hairstyle is beautiful and i look younger lol. we dined at Xinwang Cafe. heng we entered earli, cos it was a long queue outside when we were leavin. i gave her a hp accessory 4 her present too :) wonder whether she lk it anot. aft tt, she went 2 buy long wallet & handbag wif mi. i bought e 1st item at $9.90 oni cos i used my John Little $10 voucher which i won at e comp D&D - http://seli-nation.blogspot.com/2010/03/1st-time-attending-my-companys-d-fish.html. she's so sweet lol. she's oso v cute lol. y? cos she suggested we go 2 toilet 2 put my money in my new long wallet b4 goin 2 buy e bag lol. lastly, we ate some sushi b4 takin mrt bk.

rehi, everyone~! May is here~! it's been a week... how's life?

recently, e weather's super super HOT~! i cant stand it! smtms, it spoils my mood~! every mornin when i look at e mirror 2 carry out my facial routine, i sweated~! i felt worse if e sunshine shines on mi :(

2dae, i wanted 2 tok abt my new K1 student :) her name is Kelly. she has long black hair and v fair skin. i lk her eyes cos her pupils r shiny and she has beautiful double eyelids lol~! she stays in Sembawang. i will see her every Mon and Wed. i teach her English & Mathematics. few days ago, on Wed, it was only her 2nd lesson. she's damn cute lol~! she asked whether i scold ppl lol. she's so sweet 2 get mi water and asked mi 2 drink it durin brk time. she cried when her mom din allow her 2 go 2 e library cos it was late le. poor ger...

she's happi whenever i give her stickers. i knew she lk Hello Kitty and she has a nice Hello Kitty watch. she asked 4 my name. so far, she's been a gd ger. i had bought 3 assessment books 4 her yest. 2 Mathematics and 1 English. her mom said i can claim fr her. she looks friendly too. Kelly has an elder bro who i tink rather fit 4 his age lol~! i guess he is juz a Sec Sch boi keke...

i dunno whether i will blog abt Kelly agn. but i reli enjoy teachin and seein her nw cos she's adorable ;p i'm glad 2 start givin tuition agn n hope can teach her long. i dunno wats her mom's expectations but i will do my best and b a gd teacher 2 Kelly :)

Genting Trip - Part 1

yeah, i'm back from Genting~! i had enjoyed my trip~! i'm glad tt my bf's mom had taken care of mi. tis is e 1st time that my bf n I went to Genting together~!!!

last Sunday mornin, i had woke up at 5+. we left his house and took a cab 2 Lavender mrt station. aft reachin there, we boarded e coach and sat in e lower deck. xtuali, we wanted 2 sit upstairs but all seats were taken :( halfway thru our journey, we stopped at a coffeeshop n ate sth. mi n my bf ate Lor Mai Gai (chicken glutinous rice). his dad complained tt e coffee sux lol.

we reached Genting in e aftnoon. we booked in e hotel at 2+. his mom n I had headache and abit nauseous. but i felt better after eatin lol. we went 2 dine at a small cafe. his dad n I had wanton noodles and my bf n his mom chicken rice. they all dun lk e food cos they tink it was nt nice. den we walked around awhile and went bk 2 our room 2 rest. we went 2 e Kopitiam 4 dinner. tis tm, e food was mch better n it was nt ex. we ordered plain rice, fried rice, hor fun, braised beancurd wif veg n black pepper chicken fr a zhu chao stall. i lk e fried rice cos its e most yummy among all lol~! so i ate more of it lol.

ltr, we went 2 e casino~! it's my 1st tm there~! my bf n I played e Roulette. i found tt it was fun n i enjoyed it :) we won 200 ringgit~! we had taken a long tm 2 find our way out cos e casino's so big. by e tm we rched our room, i was lethargic.

on e nx mornin, we woke up earli 2 hv brkfast buffet at e hotel cafe. there was nt much of a variety. i had orange juice, fresh milk, bee hoon, fried rice, chee cheong fun n sausage etc.. his dad said e chicken curry was nice so i tried. ya, it was reli gd. aft tt, as i was stil tired, we went bk 2 our room 2 slp lol. alamak, e room was nt yet cleaned up lor haiz... his mom said it was bcos we returned 2 earli le :( aft a long nap, we went window-shoppin. he bought mi 4 pairs of beautiful sparkling earrings~! they had caught our eyes when we walked past e shop lol.

as there was stil time b4 e special show started, we went 2 e casino 2 kill time lol. we played Roulette n lost 100 ringgit :( we alw bet on e safe sides cos it was difficult 2 guess e exact no. we din play poker or oth card games cos we dunno hw 2 play. we oso nv played e slot machines. time passed so fast n it was dinner time~! at 1st, my bf wanted 2 eat at KFC. i din tell him tt i felt abit giddy cos nvm, i dun wan spoil his plan. we went 2 look in mani places den we decided 2 dine at a Penang-styled restaurant. his dad n I ate fried kway teow, his mom curry chicken wif rice n i ordered fried rice 4 him. his dad drank chinese tea, his mom iced lemon tea n we shared e apple juice. he said it was nice :)

finali, we went up 2 watch Dazzle, an entertainment show wif magic performance n alot of dancing. there were mani indians inside e threatre. dunno which idiot farted e min it began~! waliao, it was reli smelly lor :( i had enjoyed e whole gag cos e beautiful n talented dancers had done a great job~! i was amused by e magician too~! aft e show ended, we went 2 e casino 2 play agn lol. tis time, i chnged my $. when my bf felt tt our luck was nt so gd oredy n we had won bk our capital, we left. nw, we managed 2 noe e way out fast le lol.

My bf oso gave mi my bdae present! its a veri exxxxx present! wont say here. wait he'll paiseh lol. my another sec sch's fren treated mi dinner with Daphne cos our bdae fall on Jan. we went to Vanilla Pod Restaurant & Bar. it's e 1st time i went to eat there. Ros & GB treated mi dinner at Sakura, Cairnhill Place as well.

Last friday, Xinling & Elisa met 4 dinner at a shophouse in Bugis. we ate non-stop for abt 3 hrs lol! i finali found new kakis with big appetite lol. aft that, we went 2 window-shop awhile. but Xinling went home first cos its late oredy. i was sooo happy 2 meet them :)))))
